Apartment number four is finished!

This is the wall I free handed! It was really frustrating and it took me awhile to finish but it turned out really sharp! It looks great with the rest of the room.

 This is our breakfast food area! We LOVE to all eat here except there is only four chairs so that means someone has to stand!


This is me and Alexa's room and bathroom which I think looks like a five star hotel : ) I LOVE IT!!!
  So all that you see here is what me and my roommates designed for our new apartment. We painted all the walls, whitewashed the kitchen cabinets, and overall gave the whole apartment a makeover! We built our low table and found some really cute cushions to sit on.  We love it! Hope you all do too!

This is our living room. The yellow couch was a huge sectional and we did not like it! So we nix-ed the middle section and created our little posh living room!

This is our kitchen. We painted over the nasty old wood to create a bright and sunny room. It feels like my home in Minnesota which is really wonderful when you live so far away!

So folks, me and my roommates are tackling our two bedroom apartment! The first thing was to trash the 70s wood feel to white! Here's the old, tomorrow I'll show you the new. Enjoy!

Cherry Blossoms

As the official start to the photographs of my blog, this is my first paint job for a good friend of mine. She wanted cherry blossoms on her wall.  This is the tree I did in the corner and there was another huge tree across the room from this one.  It was whimsical and super fun! Who knew that I would keep doing it? Enjoy!

Creating Colors, faux finishes and businesses..

Hey y'all!

Rachel here. This is the official start to my interior painting business! Yay!! Exciting!! So the story behind this all is that on Monday morning I was praying and having a good time. I was asking the Lord about a job idea here in California. I kept praying not really expecting to get an answer. So I got up and ate a little food; then I sat back down and immediately started having all these ideas for a painting company. I love to paint and I'm pretty good at it too. I love color and I think one of things I dislike most is a white wall.  So I thought to myself, why don't I merge this with actual customers and use what I love to make a living? Great idea! So my plan thus far is to offer my services to paint walls, paint murals, paint pictures such as flowers or airplanes on people's walls. I could also do faux finishes and stencils in living rooms, kitchens, bathrooms etc.  Everybody loves that creative stuff and color on walls always makes people feel more at home.  So this is where it all begins! I've decided to put the pedal to the medal and actually go for it! So...I'd love your prayers, your ideas, your encouragement and your business! I'm so pumped to see where this baby goes!
